Listing Highlight: 85' Vicem Classic 2006 "Essence of Cayman"
2006 Vicem 85 Classic "Essence of Cayman" in Palm Beach. Original owner, twin MAN V12 1200hp, 3 staterooms, two salons. Contact Paul Denton Jr., Luke Brown Yachts.

There are yachts that look the part. Then there are yachts that were built to a standard most buyers will never find at this size and price point.
This 2006 Vicem 85 Classic is one of the latter.
She was commissioned by her original owner, built with a project manager, and spec'd specifically for US cruising. You can feel that intentionality the moment you step aboard. This is not a production run. It is a one-off effort to build something that truly reflects what a world-class cruising yacht should be. At 85 feet, she sits at a size that delivers real offshore capability, serious interior volume, and the kind of presence in a marina that comes from a name people respect.
Vicem built their reputation on one thing: craftsmanship. The Turkish shipyard blends a classic Downeast sensibility with modern engineering, and the result is a yacht that looks timeless without feeling dated. On the water, she is composed. In port, she stops people in their tracks.
Hull and Construction

The 85 Classic rides on a semi-displacement composite hull with a mahogany superstructure. That combination gives her the character of a classic cruiser with the durability and performance of modern construction.
Power comes from twin MAN V12 1200hp engines paired with ZF gearboxes. Two Onan 22.5kW generators handle hotel load underway and at anchor. She is set up to go places and stay there comfortably.
The vessel has been maintained with care. Notable upgrades and service history include refurbished bow thruster with new batteries, wiring, and terminals. Both main engine sea cocks have been replaced. A new dripless shaft seal was installed on the port main engine shaft. Fire alarm and high water alarms were added in the engine room with helm station buzzers. Manual bilge pumps were installed under both main engines. The starboard electronic windlass was completely refurbished. All three windscreen wiper motors were replaced. Upper salon windows have been resealed. The main door bottom frame and subflooring were rebuilt with new hardwood.
These are not deferred items. This is an owner who stayed ahead of the work.
Interior Layout and Accommodations

The 85 Classic accommodates six guests across three staterooms, each finished in the same rich wood treatment that runs throughout the vessel.
The master suite is full-beam and approaches megayacht standards. It includes a king berth, a seating area, vanity, large walk-in wardrobe, and a full en suite. Both twin guest staterooms have their own private en suites.
What sets this yacht apart from the competition at this price point is the interior volume across two levels. On the lower deck, a formal salon of approximately 300 square feet provides full dining and seating for eight guests, adjacent to a well-appointed galley. The pilothouse level salon adds another 260 square feet of informal space, also configured for dining and seating, with direct access to the outdoor grill area.
Two fully furnished salons. An owner's desk to starboard with a retractable plasma TV. The kind of fit and finish that takes years of experience to specify and build correctly.
For a 2006 build, the interior quality on this yacht holds up against significantly newer competition.
Deck and Outdoor Living

The cockpit and salon soles sit on the same level, creating a continuous entertaining space of over 32 feet. That layout matters when you have guests aboard. There is no awkward transition between indoor and outdoor.
The large main aft deck is set up for al fresco dining and relaxing. It includes an icemaker, refrigerator, and wet bar. Easy access to the water is aft. The hydraulic swim step accommodates a tender of 15 to 16 feet.
The hull includes side boarding doors and a stern door, which keeps movement around the vessel clean and safe offshore.
Location and Opportunity

This vessel is located in Palm Beach, one of the most desirable ports in South Florida. From here, the Bahamas, the Keys, and the Caribbean are all within range. She is positioned and ready.
At $1,395,000, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a Vicem 85 Classic with single-owner history, serious documented service, and a specification level that is genuinely difficult to find at this size.
Buyers who understand the Vicem name already know what this represents. For those who are newer to the market, this is the type of vessel where the more time you spend aboard, the more you appreciate what was built into her.
I will personally review this vessel, walk through the systems, and give you an honest assessment before you ever step aboard. That is how I approach every buyer relationship.
