Sirena Superyachts 42M on track for 2026 debut
Sirena Superyachts 42M flagship nears completion with FDHF hull, hybrid-ready systems, high-volume design and a planned mid-2026 launch.

Sirena Superyachts 42M flagship: milestone update
Sirena Yachts has published images and a construction update for its largest model to date, the Sirena Superyachts 42M. The project represents the brand’s deliberate move into the superyacht segment and is now advancing through key production phases that will determine both schedule and final fit-out quality.

The hull and superstructure are nearing completion and the vessel is currently in the painting phase. Major systems installations are under way, including the mounting of the main engines, while interior joinery and outfitting proceed in parallel to systems work, keeping the project on track for its planned next stages.
Naval architecture and FDHF efficiency by Van Oossanen
Exterior and interior layouts have been developed by Luca Vallebona, with interior design by Hot Lab, both operating within The Viken Group. Naval architecture is provided by the Dutch studio Van Oossanen, applying their Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) to this hull design.
The FDHF gives the 42M high efficiency and improved seakeeping across a broad speed range, which allows reduced fuel consumption and comfortable passages at both cruising and higher speeds. Hull optimization also increases usable interior volume: the design reports 433 GT, placing it among the largest internal volumes in the 40–45 m category without a penalty in drag, yielding a favourable space-to-length ratio.
Propulsion, hybrid systems and exceptional onboard comfort
Propulsion for the 42M is specified to meet Tier III emissions requirements and the vessel is designed with a hybrid-ready architecture. That arrangement supports reduced emissions and quieter operation when electric or hybrid modes are used, and it allows for future installation choices as owner preferences or regulations evolve.
Onboard comfort has been addressed through advanced vibration and acoustic isolation measures and the selection of environmentally responsible materials. Interior planning prioritizes controlled transitions of texture, light and spatial flow to create calm, sea-connected spaces; the yacht also includes large exterior relaxation zones and an expansive beach club with drop-down bulwarks to extend usable waterfront area.
Launch timetable, owner customization and market relevance
Sirena reports the project remains on schedule for launch and sea trials in mid-2026. The build layout is deliberately flexible: the owner’s suite can be arranged on the main deck or the upper deck, and the interior can be configured for a formal dining saloon or a more relaxed social plan. A bow guest area can be specified for high-end dining or quiet relaxation, reflecting a focus on owner-driven customization.
As Sirena’s flagship in this size range, the 42M combines a high internal volume, a fuel-efficient FDHF hull form and hybrid-ready systems to address market demand for comfortable, lower-emission superyachts. The next steps through painting completion, final systems integration and sea trials will confirm performance and onboard systems prior to delivery in 2026.
